QHSE

We spend a lot of time at sea, which entails risks. The safety of our employees and our clients is a guiding principle for all our projects. We ensure our employees are trained, assess the risks beforehand, and take measures to mitigate these risks. All clear? Off we go!

Documentation and procedures

At the start of your project, we agree on the documentation that we compose and present to you. One of such documents is a Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS), in which we describe our methods, establish procedures, and assess and mitigate risks. We start performing fieldwork only after these documents have been approved.

Before we start measuring, we have a Toolbox meeting with the crew. We discuss responsibilities, and mention the most important risks and measures we take to safely carry out our work. We always work according to a STOP-work policy: if an unsafe situation occurs, it is everyone’s right and duty to cease operations at once. Are the risks under control and mitigated? Then we get back to work.

Training

Our employees are trained to work at sea. All our surveyors are BOSIET/HUET-certified and have passed a medical examination. Our employees are trained for GWO if necessary, for instance for Working at Height when entering wind turbines or platforms.

Veiligheidsmiddelen

Our employees are provided with all necessary safety equipment to carry out work at sea. In addition to the standard personal protective equipment (PPEs) we wear offshore equipment, certified life jackets, and PLBs.
